2025 Exhibition Schedule
All art will be received at the Valley Center Library 29200 Cole Grade Road
Valley Center, CA 92082.

1. Winter Wonderland (Dec - Jan 2025)
Winter themes from anywhere.
Intake: December 5, 2024 10 am - 1 pm and December 6, 2024 10 am - 1 pm
Pickup: January 24, 10 pm - 3 pm and January 25, 2025 10 am - 1 pm
2. Small Sizes Please (Jan - Feb 2025)
Small art can make a big impression. Any topic is suitable, as long as it does not exceed 10 x 10 inches (not including the frame).
Intake: January 24, 2025 10 am - 3 pm and January 25*, 2025 10 am - 1 pm
Pickup: February 14, 2025 10 am - 1 pm and February 15, 12 pm - 3 pm
3. Apex Predators : Friend or Foe - Coexisting with the Apex Predators (Feb - March 2025)
This is a private exhibit curated by Barbara Sharnau. This exhibit is an Art and Community Awareness presentation with beautiful artwork illustrating our apex predators whom we co-exist with in San Diego County. A special speaker will present tips on how to safely co-exist with our wildlife neighbors and how to enjoy the rich wildlife habitat we share with them.
Special Speaker March 22, 2025 2 pm - 5 pm. Non-alcoholic refreshments and snacks will be available.
This exhibit is open to the public Feb 18, 2025 - March 25, 2025
4. Native Art (April - May 2025)
Art depicting native cultures, peoples, and scenes. Local tribal art as well as tribal scenes from around the world.
Intake: April 3, 2025 10 am - 1 pm and April 4, 2025 10 am - 1 pm
Pickup: May 16, 2025 10 am - 1 pm and May 17, 12 pm - 3 pm
5. Western Ways (May - June 2025)
This exhibit will be judged and ribbons will be given out.
This is an annual exhibit celebrating all things Western. Due to this exhibit's popularity, the VCAG has established specific rules for all artist's submissions:
1. All entries must fit the "Western Ways" theme, be the creative work of the exhibitor (whose name appears on the entry registration), be in good taste, and suitable for family viewing.
2. Email one (1) high quality digital image of each entry piece, showing only the image (no frame or mat) in the correct orientation, (vertical or horizontal) that gives a complete impression of the artwork. Send up to 3 photos of your work to info@valleycenterartgallery.org prior to May 22, 2025.
3. Work created by generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not eligible.
*Walk-in Intake: May 22, 2025 10 am - 1 pm and May 23, 2025 10 am - 1 pm
Pickup: June 27, 2025 10 am - 1 pm and June 28, 12 pm - 3 pm
*Due to space limitations, walk-in artists who fail to email their work prior to May 22nd may risk not having their work displayed.
6. Local Scenes and People of North County, San Diego (July 2025)
Local places/streets scenes and people, with or without animals. Recognizable outdoor scenes and personalities from Valley Center, Pauma Valley, Escondido an d Pala.
Intake: June 27, 2025 10 am - 1 pm and June 28, 12 pm - 3 pm
Pickup: July 31, 2025 10 am - 1 pm and August 1, 12 pm - 3 pm
7. Textile and Fabric Art (Aug 2025)
Textile art, quilts, and art incorporating fabric. Acceptance of each piece is based on available space.
Intake: July 31, 2025 10 am - 1 pm and August 1, 12 pm - 3 pm
Pickup: August 28, 2025 10 am - 1 pm and August 29, 2025 12 pm - 3 pm
